[b] i really need help ; i have downloaded skins 8.5 and 9.0 , but nothing has come up on my computer , ive downloaded the latest windows live messenger plus but still nothing is working , i have a laptop with the same windows live messenger and that worked perfectly , but with the computer it doesnt wont to work , someone please help me

Which versions of Windows Live Messenger and Messenger Plus! Live are you using?

Which skins have you downloaded?

Find out which version you have, as guessing will get you no where. On the menu bar, go to Help > About Messenger.

When you click download, does it recognise it's a Messenger Plus! Live skin, like so?:

The correct name is Messenger Plus! Live. You need to download it from here.

You need to make sure you don't have any conflicting software. Other Messenger add-ons or security software can cause Plus! to not work or disappear.

See: Messenger Plus! Live Disappears after restart - make sure you don't have any of the listed programs.

Also: Have SweetIM and/or SmileyCentral installed? PLEASE READ
