O.P. Big Problem With MSN
A few days ago I noticed a big problem. I thought I would leave it to see if it's server sided but now it's just doing my head in..
A few days ago I realised my online status wasn't being set for a lot of contacts. I was appearing offline to them even though my MSN said I was online.
And recently it's now stopped me from sending any message (as well as the above) after about 2 minutes of being logged in.
I've tried the repair option, I've tried installing the new msn beta, I've reinstalled msn 8.5, I've tried multiple times reinstalling msn and nothing seems to be working.
What should I do? :/

RE: Big Problem With MSN
This is a server side problem not something you can fix at the client end.

Uh how long does it usually take? It's a pain :/
Also will I need to report the problem or will they already know?

RE: Big Problem With MSN
It will just be because of server maintenance, etc ahead of the new upgrade.
Leave the current stable version of WLM installed (Version 2009/14) and just be patient. It may take a few minutes, a few hours or even a couple of days, but it will be sorted out

Just deleted the contact I had main problems with. Added her again, it said she was blocked so I unblocked her and it's working now.
Only thing is I never blocked her?
Ok now I can't send messages to anyone ^-^ takes the mick, grr. Gonna stick to my iPod.

When you delete a contact you get the option to block her/him and remove from windows live contacts. Sure you never ticked those by accident?

Definitely not, I still have the problem so I'm just going to wait and if it doesn't fix I'll just make a new email.
Thing is i have no problems with it on my iPod when I use the eBuddy app. It isn't my PC is it?

If you have no problems on another PC/clientsoftware, then yes, it might be something todo with your PC or the current installation of Messenger on your PC.
Making a new account would not be a good idea then...
(actually, it is very very very rarely a good idea in general anyways).

I've done everything which involved removing msn and reinstalling, even with different versions. I've used reg' cleaners and everything and I still had the problem.
I've ended up having to make a new email as I couldn't fix it with my own knowledge. It's such a pain, I've lost so many contacts as I don't fancy adding about 500 people 1 by 1 :/ I used export and import of the contact list when I tried an older MSN version but for some reason when I logged in on the newer version it didn't actually add anybody :/
