I'm running Windows 2000 SP4, Messenger 6.1.0211.
I tried to install MsgPlus3 through my admin profile. Installed great and Plus features were available. I switched to a user profile that has Power User privileges. I launched messenger and no Plus features were available. Only regular messenger appeared.
I attempted to install MsgPlus 3 thru the user profile and received an error box with no text, simply a big red X. I then uninstalled MsgPlus3 through the admin profile and attempted the installation through the user profile. Before doing so, I gave the user Full Control access to the prog. I then received the following error message:
quote:
MessengerPlus Setup - I/O Error
Access on disk is denied or setup package is corrupted.
Here are common ways to solve this problem:
* Log-on with administrator privileges
* Install in a different directory
* Restart your computer
* Download the setup package from a different source
I attempted the suggested solutions with the exception of the *install to a different directory* all without success.
I've never had an installation problem with past versions of Plus.
Can anyone recommend a solution to this problem or perhaps point out something that I might have missed.
Thank you.
