So I build the misses and meself (I am speaking for her here) a new PC.
Installed Win 7 Ult x64, Corel, Office, ..., and yes, MSN Live.
Install went super smooth, until WLM opened.
Then I got this:

NEVER seen this before in my entire computer based life (I am into computers since 1985, my first machine was a NorthStar , go figure, I was 15 back then, and a major fan of the REAL and unmatched 1979 BSG series, too bad my comp did not what Commodore Adama's could albeit it looked the same appx.    lol).

Despite a bit of knowledge in the area of computers... I have not a single clue where to look for this oddity.
Asked a few friends, also rather long in the business, neither is less baffled by this.

Tried anything: reinstall (WITH complete manual REG clean to ensure nothing was left), other (slightly older) vid driver, ditto sound driver (and yes, a sound driver CAN screw visuals up, been there seen that), but nothing works.

And so I come here, hoping someone can help the misses (and thus me) out?
