Keep in mind though, there is probably already splitting going on in your motherboard. As in not all those 6 ports are fully powered. Perhaps they are split in 3 groups of 2, or even 2 groups of 3. Worth checking out before you waste money on 6 cables.
I have to ask, what do you need 6 fully powered ports accessible from desk for?
