If you're experienced with computers and trust yourself to watch what you're doing, both of them aren't required.
Microsoft Security Essentials is much more simpler and doesn't bother you every 2 minutes with alerts like the other 2 do, however has just as good anti-virus engine to detect any infections, which is perfect for any experienced user.
