Then I'm confused by comments like this:
MSN Messenger 5 has been released

Windows Messenger 5 has not.

There is a difference between the two, the reason some people are running both 4.7 and 5 is because they are using Windows Messenger 4.7 and MSN Messenger 5. They are different programs.
