O.P. RE: Msnmsgr will now close -- nvdisp.drv.
Maybe it's my fault, I can't remember now.
But the issue was resolved... so far.
I looked through the registry, and found a key called "patchou" it had Plus! Keys. Ripped that out, opened Messenger (which I had already ripped/reinstalled), and issue was resolved.
Now I'll reinstall Plus! with the updated video drivers, and see if anything changes this time (It's good to finally have Messenger back).
[EDIT: I say it may be my fault because I can't remember if I removed Plus! from add/remove programs, though I believe (60%) that I did.]
