RE: those accursed logs! *shakes fist*
Are you sure you didn't changed the password, or you left a logfile from before your fresh install, because you get two different logs when you change your password.
When you choose not to re-encrypt your old logs while changing the password:
- user@isp.tld1.ple will be the one with the old password.
- user@isp.tld.ple will be the one with the new password.
When you change you password again and still choose not to re-encrypt your current log:
- user@isp.tld2.ple will be the one with the 1st password.
- user@isp.tld1.ple will be the one with the 2nd password.
- user@isp.tld.ple will be the one with the 3rd password.
Now when you change your password again an do choose to re-encrypt your logs this time:
- user@isp.tld2.ple will be the one with the 1st password.
- user@isp.tld1.ple will be the one with the 2nd password.
- user@isp.tld.ple will be the one with the 4th password.
As you see not everything will be re-encrypted / get the new password then. It's something to keep in mind when changing your password.
I'm not saying this is what you did wrong, i guess there is some bug with encryption somewhere because i heard more people about it. But until we're not sure what causing it we can't fix it.
