you shouldn't do that
I suggest you to check an option in preferences called force plus to start up or something similar. If i remember well, it's under the miscellaneous section.
if that doesn't work, reinstall plus.

well, there were (or are) plugings to do that, however it's a bit useless because as long as I know, plus uses the SSL protocol which already encrypts the messages sent.
Anyway, I don't think that option would be added in the next version (in fact last beta doesn't have it)
