Webmasters use raw code, Dreamweaver is a n00b tool for creating easy websites.

Obviously if you used the WYSIWYG feature you saw it's as simple as using MSWord and getting very good results, so it's perfect for n00bs who don't want to know anything about code.
I used to use the notepad... but the problem is that you have to manually upload it to the server and you can't find things easily in a long file (tabs, colors, and code navigatos help very much and make you work quicklier).
Frontpage is crap. It's resulting WYSIWYG pages are 3 or 4 times the size it would be if written by hand and most times results are not as good (browser incompatibility, etc). But it's easy to use and as many learning centres have Office installed they tend to teach to use Frontpage than Dreamweaver.
There's absolutely no point in saying DW is for noobs.
