DX has nothing to do with this... he manages the irc server and is responsible for stuff related to connecting to irc... but as for a full server attack, that is being dealt with by paul, as he said minutes after the attack happened. If and when Paul finds out whether it was him, he'll let DX know if he needs anything from him... a forum post wasn't necssary just for that purpose.
I am behind you though, that doing this kind of attack is really quite lame... i don't see why they bother
