You can actually use mIRC forever, but you get a nag screen unless you "buy" () it

Nero burning rom
Notepad
Editplus (HTML/PHP etc editor with colours etc)

thats all i can think of that i actually use multiple times everyday, nero is sometimes only used once a week or so though.

Anything else i use i could probably live without
