first be sure to have windows 2000, windows 2003 or windows xp. However, I think you have this because otherwise you might get the error you can't talk to anyone. It's not only the inkredist you need, you need the entire plugin (
here). Then unzip the file, close everything from msn messenger/windows messenger + your browser windows, run setup.exe (and choose "for all users"), run installer.exe and restart your msn messenger/windows messenger.
