RE: Quick Icons unavailable
Ok as Millenium_Edition said Windows Messenger does not support Custom Emoticons, thus there is no need for a feature to be enabled in an app if you cant use it. The quick icons i think still should work but here is something you can try.
Click Start > Click Run > type in regedit.
Click the + Beside HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Click the + Beside Software
Click the + Beside Patchou
Click the + Beside MsgPlus2
Click the + Beside <Your Email>
Click on Preferences
Double click UserQuickIcons and change the value from 0 to 1. Shutdown Messenger and reopen it.
