Uhm... you better use a pre configured solution the first time, like
XAMPP. It contains Apache, PHP, MySQL, Filezilla, and other server modules. The best of all: It doesn't need an installtion, when you want to run Apache you just have to run a batch-file and you're done.
Make sure you read the documentation carefully.
