You can install version 1.4 anytime, without having to worry. It still works well with Windows Messenger 4.x (and probably MSN Messenger 5.x too if you're not using Windows XP). Old versions of Messenger Plus! were using a whole different technique (prior around 1.20). At that time, Messenger Plus! was replacing the Messenger files by his so that Plus! would be launched instaed of Messenger. This caused a lot of problem and I don't want these problems to happen to you
