open a conversation window with someone offline

hmmm.. ok this might sound stupid and useless..but once someone asked to someone how could u open a conversation when with someone offline... so i found out (A)

U just need to right click on the icon in the sistem tray, then choose send an instant message... then click on the "OTHERS" tab..and insert the email from ur offline friend that is in ur contact list... (Y)
