Uninstall the ink redistributables (see for instructions on

Then follow the instructions to install the whole handwriting package
exactly as given on

This means, do the things in the proper order, and select "all users" when you install the redistributables...
Like TheBlasphemer said, it does work (if you have Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Server 2003). You only need to follow the instructions exactly...
