No, not a plugin, because this is simply an option in Messenger Plus! already ;)

Plus! > Preferences > General Options > Local Settings > "Save text files with the Unicode character set"


Nothing can be done for your already existing logs though, they are saved with the wrong character-coding, this can't be reversed...
