It started in september. The stock white is correct although HP does offer tatoos which are available for them (stickers to wrap around the iPod

They are only available in the US right now. Don't ask how I know so much about it
The real difference is that the iPod+hp is ment for the Windows Environment (Windows 2000 SP4 and XP) and thats all HP will support it under. You can download the updater from Apple to put the Mac firmware on it. But then HP no longer supports it.
