You don't need to restart MSN, you need to reboot your computer....
By doing all I've said (and that is btw, the only proper and correct way) you fix the bootup sequence of Messenger Plus! and MSN Messenger. As long as you don't reboot your PC, nothing has changed of course...

It worked well for me! Unbelievable it never came up to me to reboot my pc in stead of msn
