To use the AllYourBase plugin:

1. Download the zip file from http://www.msgplus.net/pluginsdb/down/?action=file&id=75
2. On Windows XP: open it and extract it;
   On other Windows versions: extract it with a program such as WinZip
3. Run the file AllYourBase.exe (open it) after you extracted it
4. Exit and reopen Messenger
5. In a conversation window, use the command /xaybversion or /xaybsound

This should work
Note that both you and your contact need to have the plugin installed to be able to hear the sounds.
