If you use the one thats on the actual windows xp site, its really good, I use it, and the fonts are really crisp, it also has good management for how clear you want the font to be, the tweaks can be found here:

simply install, then whenever you want to change the quality of fonts, there is a icon in
control panel that says
'ClearType Tuning'
