I assume you have reinstalled Plus! with the sponsor program being selected then uninstalling Messenger Plus! and the sponsor still stays?  Note make sure you have all of your Internet Explorer and Explorer Windows (example My Computer) closed.

If all else fails use the Lop.com Uninstaller I found and posted long ago.
