O.P. Windows 1.0 on VMWare?
Hey,

I just found windows 1.0 somewhere on the internet, and I wanted to try and install it on a VMWare virtual machine.
I set the OS to be MS-DOS, booted with a win98 bootflop, formatted HDD,
next insert disk1 of windows 1.0, followed instrctions, set to united kingdom keyboard, no mouse, and IBM compatible graphics.
Next it tells me to boot windows with the win command, so I type win.

Then the BAD things happen, the PC starts beeping like mad, and I get a blue screen with white crap on it, and somewhat looking like MICROSOFT in ascii art....

Did anyone ever try this? and did anyone ever succeed?
Thanks, TB
