I've just had a friend sign on to messenger and we've both had messages saying the other has added us to their list - do we want to allow - and said yes. But both see each other as offline!?

I'm using windows messenger, and I assume she is too - although I only just found out tonight that there is a difference between MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger...

I've never had this problem before - I've been able to chat with 10-15 others - including one tonight. Can someone suggest what I/we must be overlooking - or what could be wrong?
