but true extreme negativities are not really quality ratings!
also, i know that msn messenger adds exception for itself, thats why (1) i removed the exception manually, and (2) used mirc as another test program.
edit: i just noticed that DJeX was talking about sp2 in general not just the firewall, n i think that sp2 generally provides better security taking internet explorer into consideration and firewall, but guess u all know about the
security risk the windows security center opens.

generally no, unless specifically stated from the firewall's provider.
an example is symantec's firewall, they say that its compatable with windows's firewall (ie. u can turn them both on without problem) but still u are advised to turn on only one.
