Sounds are inernally compressed in mp3 so don't worry, no wav will be sent to your contacts. As for the time limit, I think 10 seconds is very fine for now. It doesn't seem like much at first but beleive me, after a couple of tests, I can tell you that 10 seconds is plenty to pass the "emotion" you wanted to send. Also, don't forget that I must be careful so that people don't use this feature to send pirated mp3 files. Big files are supposed to be sent the normal way in Messenger, songs included.
