You are most likely confused with "MSN Explorer" and "MSN Messenger", both made by MSN.
MSN Messenger is the product we use to chat with others. The latest non-beta version is 6.2 and the latest beta version is 7.
MSN Explorer is a different product, see
http://explorer.msn.com for more details. It's possible that version is upto 10 by then (it's upto 9 now if I'm not mistaken)
