CookieRevised's "MsgPlus! 3.50 Pop3 Gmail Limitations" carefully, you would also have read the sentence:
"However due to the way Gmail stores emails (using labels instead of folders and “threading” sent & received messages together), it will not return the correct number of new emails when Plus! checks for it."
