.. Well.. might be able to help you if you give some info?... Messenger Version, Plus! version? Windows? Etc...?
If you go to "c:\program files\messenger plus! 3\Plugins"(replace c:\program files\ with the folder that matches on your computer) and delete the file Countnick.dll then start messenger again you should be fine again...
.. Well.. sorry I can't be to more help right now...

I tried to install it, but the options didn't show up.
I just reinstalled my comp, so I was thinking that I might a particular file to make it run.
The installation ran smoothly, but I couldn't find the counter in Plus!/Pref/Plugins.

Did you use the setup that was posted by
Xerxis? or did you download and install the one on the first post?`..
If you did use the
installer by Xerxis , then it's kinda hard to tell you what the problem might be, but maybe going for solution number 2 might help...
... If you didn't use that installer but used the one in the top post then you can either try the installer or go for one of the solutioins... I hope this would work...
Since I haven't made an installer yet(Except Xerxis installer, but it haven't been tested completly yet), and it will come soon... when I have finsihed my exams project... This seems to be the problem in most cases:
You are missing the nessecary system files for this plugin to run...
You can do 1 of the following things...
1: Please try running a search on windows folder for the file MSCOMCTL.OCX and also the file MSCOMCT2.OCX, if you do have them both then there is some other problem.. If you don't have them then search them on google and download them.. Move them to your windows\system folder, if you are using xp then windows\system32 folder... and then use regsvr32 on them... To regsvr32 them go to Start -> Run, and then type "regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\mscomctl.ocx" and press enter, then go to Start -> Run and this time type "regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\mccomct2.ocx" and press enter... This should hopefully fix your problem..
.. please report if it works?
2: Some of you people getting errors might be because you need the VB Runtime files, I'm not saying that i'm sure this would help, but it might for some of you.... here they are:
VB6 Runtime files at Microsoft.com
Hope this solves your problems (and you understand what i'm trying to say) if not, then please post again..
