Successfully cloning a human might never happen (and I have nothing against human cloning, I actually like the idea). But stem cells are a good thing that must happen if we want to cure people.
No one cares about the rats and other animals that scientifics kill each year. Why should we care for a couple of cells? A baby is not 60+ cells, IMO.
