I don't think he's looking for a backup program, but instead looking to save them from a conversation.
To save emoticons from a conversation, left-click one so a black outline appears, then right-click and 'Add...'. Sounds, if you mean Custom Emotion Sounds, are automatically saved (they appear in the Sound Library), and Winks can't be saved as you have to pay for them.
