Can you connect to the internet through the router at the moment? Or can your computer not recognise it at all?
Start -> Run -> Type
ping 192.168.0.1
If you get a response then it is more likely to be a router setting? If you get timed out, try the manual configuration shown at the bottom.

thread but it didn't say how he fixed the problem.
If you still want to hard reset try googling your router model + hard reset
Edit: Oh, one idea to try first - Disable DHCP, Manually set your IP address to 192.168.0.2, subnet 255.255.255.0, default gateway to 192.168.0.1 and DNS servers to 61.9.192.14/61.9.128.15. Reset your router (and computer if you're using win98) and see what happens. Only try this if you can't detect the router at all.
