ok this is crazy

ok i just downloaded msgplus today like an hour ago and i cant get it to work

i am trying to make a new custom emotion sound with the recording thing but my microphone wont record

ok heres what happens

first i go to my sounds library,
next i hit add new sounds,
i click the record a sound from microphone or other source,
i hit start recording and record what i want,
then i hit stop,
then i click play recording and nothing actually plays,

and i cant find any microphone settings to mess around with to try to make it work and my microphone works on ...
voice conversation on msn
aim
the sound recorder in start/all programs/accessories/entertainment/sound recorder
and teamspeak

and thats also all that i have tried to use it on
so i dont know

gimme some help
