my mouse lasts a few hours on crappy battaries, and up to about 3 months on good duracell battaries. (logitech cordless click plus. currently sitting on my desk requiring new battaries )
but i dunno how long your mouse would last using its own rechargeable battaries. i think some mice have a base station that can be plugged into your wall outlet and usb.
