My comment:
Microsoft should be able to tell the difference between a Messenger Plus! installation with OPTIONAL sponsor program and an installation without the sponsor program. There's absolutely no reason for MS to do something with the installation without sponsor program other than to ignore it. Ad-Aware nor Spybot report it, if you want MSAS to be a success, then do something about this. Because instead of letting MSAS remove Messenger Plus just like that, we'll just (recommend) uninstall(ing) MSAS just like that. Thank you.
I don't know what's worse, ad/spyware or false positives.
