MsgPlus! has an optional sponsor, which is adware (not spyware). You can read more about it

As far as I know, it doesn't detect MsgPlus! as a virus. It detects and deletes Messenger Plus!, not giving the user the option to uninstall the sponsor or MsgPlus! correctly.
