It's a possibility. Perhaps it might be overheating - check the fans, and make sure you have adequate ventilation around the computer.

I will open up my case sometime soon, and if it is too dusty, I will try my best to clean it, I don't think this is an issue, the fans are quiet and seem fine... I don't think it's the temperature that's the problem...

Also check your RAM, it might have some issues, it could be maifunctioning, which would need you would need a new RAM Stick.

I have 512Mb RAM and it's running quite low at around 200Mb, so that is cool. I am getting another RAM stick soon, so that it runs duel at 1Gb...

1) crtl+alt+del and see the processes running (xp ;)) anything new
2) AV & Anti spyware scan
3) Rt click on my computer, properties and see the ram. Is it still the same ?? If not then turn off the pc, remove the ram and clean the contact surface at the bottom. (Assuming u know how to remove the ram of the motherboard; else dont touch it. Mine has a simple lock. I press it and the ram pops out .... literally :P)

Just clean that golden part at the bottom that goes in with a clean dry cloth. I was told that an eraser is awesome .... it worked for me. And then connect the ram and it should be ok again ;)

I can't access ctrl+alt+del when it's crashed, but yeah, it all seems okay, how it usually is, I have ran several virus checks, and there are no viruses...

I will clean the RAM later on tonight, along with my computer.

That's either bad RAM or overheating.

If you ever overclocked a part of your system, and I would think the processer if it's crashing like that, you should just get it back to default speeds from BIOS.  (If you know how to overclock, you'll now how to get there.)

Or, it could be RAM issues, either corrupted RAM or misplaced, if you are having problems with RAM, and if lately your computer has been moved, which could cause the RAM sticks not to be well attahed, it may cause that.  If it didn't, try downloading "MemTest86", put it on a Floppy disk, and boot from it. (Make sure the Floppy disk boots before HDD).

Tell us if you get any errors.

I haven't overclocked my processor ever, so that's not an issue. The computer has never moved from where it is, the RAM couldn't be misplaced...
