RE: Opera is now... free.
For all Firefox's claim of being "free" and GNU compliant, where is its FreeBSD version?
Opera loads a whole 15 seconds quicker than firefox; it remembers tabs by default; it's a meg smaller to download the installation file; it's 5 meg less of hard disk space when installed; its transfer manager is much more intuitive than Firefox's; it has 200 more skins than Firefox; it uses less memory than FireFox to load hi-res/large pictures; it is more efficient with tabs/memory than FireFox; the mouse gestures are far superior; Opera has a lot built in that requires extensions for FireFox; Opera has more available page display area than firefox; FireFox doesn't even show the tab bar by default (for something that is touted as a tabbed browser thats a tad retarded); Opera's email client is so much less bloat than Thunderbird and having Thunderbird+FireFox running is such a memory hog compared to just having Opera running with its built in email client; and Thunderbird's rss shit is a joke.
To be honest why do they duplicate 95% of FireFox in Thunderbird? Shocking really. That's real bloat. I've heard that Opera renders HTML better than FireFox too, but since I'm not a web designer I have no idea if that is true - the rest I have experienced for myself.
