umm, i think i know whats wrong, there's a lil chip ( dunno what its called ) inside the monitor that you can get replaced,, i had similiaar problems with an old Monitor ( was a CRT also ) but IMO its cheaper to go an buy a New CRT Monitor than get it replaced
