RE: Dutch translation correction
Corrections were made some time ago already, but never replied to this thread, so...

Both are possible and both are quite often used as synonyms. The difference, in this specific used case(!), isn't even clear for professional and national organizations which deal with the Dutch language. Almost all say it doesn't make any difference at all in the context as it is used atm.

Only one (out of many professional persons from such organizations I've checked with) said that hetzelfde could point towards one or some aspects of your chat experience, and dezelfde could point towards the experience itself. Though this was the best explanation I could get, it is still extremely vague though. And thus also some other "semi-rules" might apply more or trigger the use of one or the other. eg: like "what sounds the best" and "what is most used in practice"...

Another professional source (connected to "Het Groene Boekje") even said that he once did a very extensive search for this because he had the same problems in one of his papers and also had non-conclussive results. After the extensive search he found that hetzelfde would be far better to use and he would also recommend that in this case.

To conclude: Since there is no distinct difference between the two (and even then you can defend/interpret both as totally valid) and since there are no rules which clearly say which one to use and when, it boils down to what sounds the best and what is most used in practice.
.-= A 'frrrrrrrituurrr' for Wacky =-.
