I am still not aware of what causes that bug.. So I'd have to check on that someday, or someone else will have to do that...

Good plugin just buggy
Go to Plus! -> Settings -> Plugins, and uncheck the counter in nickname plugin.. Restart Messenger...
You could also try the solution that I describe in the link giving above.. I hope that could solve the problem....
Apparently there seems to be a bug when the Cancel Button is pressed.. Though i'm not sure.. If you notice, then it's about 8 months since I looked at this plugin.. So, I don't remember much of the code or what bugs were found etc...
If you are a programmer, and knows how to program MsgPlus! Plugins you are welcome to continue the project if you want to?...
