ooooook.. so,
renaming contacts in floating windows only: done.
change transparency based on status: will be done in v4 for sure
flash floating window when receiving a message: maybe, I'll see about that.

I'll also add, as we're on the topic of floating windows, that Plus! Live will display the colors in your contact's names and the emoticons too
