I guess you can only dual boot it if you install it in a separate drive.

XP 64bit is a "hassle" because it isn't really supported by everything.
Vista, however, is meant to be run in 64bit mode, so if you have a 64bit processor, I say go for it. (I am, and I would also like to point out that I haven't tried XP 64 at all, so if someone knows more, please tell us).
