lertoi, there are fake/malicious versions of Plus!Live circulating (
Plus!Live will be released saturday)...if you don't download other then from the official websites then there is nothing to worry about.

Edit: you and your friend should uninstall the version you have and download from the offical site. You might be able to retrieve lost contacts by going to tools > options > privacy...click the button behind "see who has added you.....". If they are still inthere you can add them back by rightclicking and choosing "add to contacts"
