In the new Messenger Plus! Live for Windows Live Messenger 8.0, the plugin system will be replaced by the scripts. For more informations about the scripts of the new MP!L, please see this topic: http://shoutbox.menthix.net/showthread.php?tid=60551
Actually, there are very few scripts but the new scripting method seems easy from what I heared. So soon after the release, you may probably get a script with the function you are expecting
