Sorry - but green and blue just don't mix together in connected items and areas like that (You'll notice the big green area on site site is not connected to the blue one).
The only decent colour change I've seen so far was the colour of the header column in haydn's screenshot -

Adding new themes isn't really an option as it means it is harder for us to maintain.
