Sorry NeuralTransmitter, I don't mean to rain on your parade, but I've already figured this out. ~~It seems PNG 597 isn't used elsewhere in Messenger (at least nowhere noticeable) and resizing it solves the problem~~... so I'll be including this feature in the next Mess Patch.

Edit: UserTileView does the trick
